The district

The district includes the approach via Travemünde, the River Trave and the port facilities of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck.

The pilots of the Lotsenbrüderschaft NOK II Kiel / Lübeck / Flensburg advise bridge teams on safe navigation from the sea area off Travemünde, along the River Trave and to the respective port facilities. Their work is based on local knowledge, nautical experience and the applicable regulations.

Travemünde

Travemünde forms the seaward entrance to the district. The port is an important ferry hub with regular services to Scandinavia. The district passage along the River Trave towards Lübeck begins here.

River Trave and intermediate ports

The River Trave connects Travemünde with Lübeck. The district also includes the intermediate ports and berths along the river.

Port of Lübeck

The port facilities of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck form the inner section of the district. Pilots accompany vessels to their respective berths.
